Company Overview: Engineering for Kids provides fun and educational STEM programs for children ages 4-14.

We offer after school programs, homeschool programs, evening classes, camps, birthday parties, and special events designed to present kids with challenging yet accessible engineering activities from which they can learn and grow.

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate STEM Coding Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and a strong desire to teach and mentor young students. This role involves leading coding classes, workshops, and camps that introduce children to programming concepts through interactive projects and activities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct coding classes for children using curriculum provided by Engineering for Kids.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
Assist students in understanding coding concepts and solving problems independently.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during class time.
Communicate effectively with parents and provide feedback on student progress.
Code Combat: Java, Python, Roblox
Scratch Coding

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or working towards the degree)
Experience working with children in an educational or instructional setting preferred.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, etc.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students and parents.
Passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners.
Availability between 1 pm – 7 pm during weekdays and Saturday morning
Experience presenting to a group, facilitation or training would be a plus
Drone knowledge is a plus
Code Combat Platform knowledge preferred
